Life Interruptions

How do you deal with the bumps in the road? Change is a constant in life, yet what do you do when it affects your day-to-day life? Some change is by choice and some is thrust upon us. How do you take it in stride (or not) and keep living life?

We will be talking with two amazing women: Leanne Carder, whose family life has taken a turn with her mother-in-law moving in, and Sheila Sutherland, who experienced a house fire and that changed everything.

Leanne is a Sales Consultant for Tocara Jewellery and loves what she does. She spent 32 years working at RBC before making the leap to become her own boss. She has not looked back since.

Leanne has been married to her man for over 20 years and has a beautiful 18-year-old daughter and two adorable cats that complete their immediate family. Over the past year she has also taken on a role as caregiver to her mother-in-law who suffers from dementia.

Sheila is a Life Skills Strategist who believes that you can change your life by choosing to shift how you react to circumstances within your life.

Sheila not only guides her clients on how to do this, but she had to learn to do it first hand. During Christmas 2010, Sheila’s life got upended when she lost her home to a fire. Beyond her possessions, her safety and security was lost, leaving her diagnosed with PTSD and Depression.

Now, Sheila looks at that incident with immense gratitude, as it shifted her life on a path of discovery that she could have never imagined.

Gina Best will be facilitating the panel. Gina has had her own share of life interruptions and knows them well. Please join us for a unique and candid conversation about how life changes and how we change with it.
